Technical Enhancements
  • All SQL
    • Movement of the Front-end to SQL using MSDE
    • Movement of all remaining Back-end Access - tables to SQL

    • Ability to configure the 'Manufacturer Coupons' table (in the past the manufacturer coupon values were 'hard coded' and not easy to change)
    • Ability for the 'Front-end' to support Alcohol selling schedules to support a 24 hour period which allows more than one stop and start time.
    • Ability to support 'Open Section' sales using a section number greater than 32,767.


Back-End Enhancements

    • Movement of the 'Update check stands' to 'Synchronize Check stands'.

    • Allow partial update for new updates; 'Product' and 'Customer changes' forms only.
  • In Store charge Maintenance
    • Allow Partial Payments to be applied. In the past, if a customer overpaid the user could not apply the payment.
    • Enhancement of the 'In Store Charge Statement' ; the form is easier to read.
  • Customer Focus
    • Enhanced procedure of data calculation. Data is calculated on a daily basis through the 'store close' ; in the past the data was processed once a week.
    • Allow user to flag off collection of customer Focus Data from within the Customer Focus form (Default is not to collect).
  • Product Maintenance
    • Allow Use of Short Cut keys (hot keys)
      • Ctl U - Takes you back to the UPC field
      • Ctl S - Save current entry
      • Ctl G - Opens the Product Groups form
      • Ctl I - Opens the Inventory form
      • Ctl K - Opens the Product Kits form
      • Ctl V - Opens the Product Movement form
      • Ctl H - Opens the Price Change History form
      • Ctl B - Opens the Current Batches form
    • Enhancements to the 'Export' label function clearing the labels when they are printing from the default label flag.
    • Allow a user to set a 'Start Time' and 'End Time' on a sale item
    • Enhanced selection of departments from the 'drop down' boxes. Department attributes are recognized when the user selects the department.
    • Ability to select a desired 'tab' order for the 'Products' form (this will be re-enhanced after the initial release).
  • Enter Prices for Ad Batch
    • Enhanced the 'Apply a Batch' function by separating the current batch from other batches
    • Enhancements to the 'Apply a Batch' function displaying batches where a product already exists from the current batch
    • Enhancement to the 'Delete' function when deleting from the 'Price changes pending' table and the 'Product Maintenance' table sale sections.
    • Allow a user to create a 'Start' and 'End' time of a sales batch
    • Movement of the 'Apply' function to SQL improving 'batch apply' time (a 5,000 item batch takes about 1 to 2 minutes)
    • Movement of the 'schedule apply' out of the 'store close' allowing the user to schedule the 'Apply' using SQL jobs
    • Addition of a tool bar button to extend the start date/time and end/time of a batch
  • System Information
    • Allow a user to make a check stand 'inactive' without deleting the workstation' s name.
    • Enhanced saving of passwords the Archive function (the Resellers do not need to open and change the stored procedures). The User only needs to save the databases.
    • Allow user to flag is Sales batches will allow discount while product is on sale (default is Off).
  • Pos Information
    • Ability to customize and maintain the lookup of settings
  • Store Close
    • Enhanced movement of the store close, triggered as a SQL job
    • Ability to run an 'auto store close' by simply scheduling the SQL job
    • Allow a user to label a workstation as 'inactive' for the store close process
    • Allow a user to perform a 'Get' to upload any missing transactions from an already processed store close (data will upload and be process appending from a previous store close)
    • Enhanced 24 hour store close with a change of date function. Date change for each check stand can be performed from the Store Close form.
  • Section Maintenance
    • Allow a user to create a section number greater than 32,767 (database restriction would not allow this in the past)
  • Schedule Maintenance
    • Enhanced Schedule Maintenance: allowance for hours of sale on a product.
    • Enhancement allowing schedules to stop and start more than once in a 24 hour period
