Enhancements


Front-End Enhancements
General Changes
• Allow Reason Codes to work for the No Sale key
• Write No Sale entries to the trans table
• WIC Key now automatically tax exempts he order
• Prompt for WIC Start and end Date of Voucher
• Store Coupon now handled as a discount instead of a tender
• Capture checking account number from MICR
• Capture Foodstamp Tax Exempt by item
• Capture Tax Exempt by item
• Bio Metric to logon and override manager functions
• Give ability to display a list of authorized persons for charge accounts
• Ability to reprint the Credit Card portion of a receipt (RC transkey)
• Display what was keyed in for halo or lalo limits
• Add a product from ‘Product Not Found Message’ (Controlled by the Ros.ini entry AllowAddProducts=1) x Display the amount of a check keyed in on a Check Override message
• Checks Per Day only calculated on the calendar day (fix issue where the count was anything in the trans database)
• Added option to include Manufacture Coupons to Savings message
• Allow multiple pickups within the same form by adding a tender denominate form.
• Handle cashier age to sell both alcohol and cigarettes correctly
• Display line item discount in color
• Show the CHANGE due in the TOTAL box (controlled by the new Ros.ini entry [Change] ViewChange=1)
• Check Endorsement Request - The cashier is no longer prompted to press ENTER at all. When the check is inserted, the printer grabs the check automatically and endorses the check.
• Keyed or Scanned Items assigned to a negative department now ring up as a negative. (not just open department rings) Controlled by New Ros.ini Entry NegativeItemsIfDepartmentNegative=1

Touch Screen Changes

• Add a new Touch Screen option - Administration / POS Information / Point of Sale / Checkstand screen - "Allow Age validation override (Y/N).

Back-End Enhancements
Reporting Changes
• Store Sales Taxes report breaks down tax exempt for all 4 taxes by department
• Register Productivity report: displays sales by 15 increments by department
• Store Sales report: added a column to calculate the Average order size
• Electronic Journal: added employee name to the report
• Added the Balance Weekly Summary Report (displays sales against tenders for the week selected)
• Added Cashier Analysis Report to analyze checker performance for Sales, voids, refunds, open department sales against other cashier’s during the same time frame.

General Changes
• Log on to the Backend automatically takes you to the Point of Sale menu since this is used the most
• Allow Electronic Journal to view sales by Lane
• Allow the UPC range to be the search for all items in the same MFG code (7114200000 thru 7114299999) in Show Product Sales form
• Added more criteria to create product groups, such as MFG code and size
• Show Product Sales form to select multiple criteria for reporting such as UPC range and vendor.
• Added parameter in Pos Information form to handle age of cashier to sell both alcohol and cigarettes
• Improved Store Close to give more information during connection phase
• Integrated Signature Capture function to the Pos Information form.
• Inventory Count - Cost is now net cost (Base Cost - Allowance currently in effect) - Price is the current Sell Price (based on the first unit sold in the transaction)
• Added logic in the Edit Products Form where when the user has - CustomLabelsExport=CustomLabelsExport.CCustomLabel in the [MISC] section of the ROS.ini - it will not execute the internal label export logic but will execute CustomLabelsExport.dll. This feature allows the creation of custom dll's to meet specific needs without requiring a new compile
• Shelf Tag Pull Report - Create a report/batch for pulling Shelf tags. This should be a task that runs just like the requested price management job.

Product Changes
• Log on to the Backend automatically takes you to the Point of Sale menu since this is used the most
• Added an abnormal price setting for the normal price in Product Maintenance form. This prevents user from scanning the UPC in this field and saving price as UPC.
• Added Country of Origin labeling for Sea food Compliance (COOL)
• Add tab stops. Save tab stops so user does not have to re-key each time. Saves to a template table called tab stops.
• Added function: when an item is deleted from product maintenance also deletes items from a batch and price changes pending table.
• Add the Vendor Name to the item code search
• Add size to item code search
• Display the contents of a product pricing group in a grid as you make a price change to an item in the group.
• Moved the code for creating IT Retail labels to a stored procedure. This will allow the dealers to create special labels for the customer without waiting for a new exe
• Added function to update cost and case cost when the primary vendor is changed to an existing secondary vendor
• When clone feature is used the software no longer clears the description
• Special control keys for Product Maintenance
  • Control + S: Save
  • Control + U: cursor will move to the UPC field
  • Control + M: Product Miscellaneous Form will show up
  • Control + P: Previous UPC will show up
  • Control + N: Next UPC will show up
  • Control + I: Inventory Form will show up
  • Control + V: Product Movement Form will show up
  • Control + B: Batches Form will show up
  • Control + L: Print Product Label Form will show up
  • Control + H: Price History Form will show up
  • Control + K: Product Kits Form will show up
  • Control + G: Product Group Form will show up


Product Batches Changes
• Special Key for Product Batch Maintenance Form
  • Control + S: Save

  • Control + A: Apply Batch

• Added function that if a UPC in the batch is keyed in, the cursor will locate the UPC in the grid and this UPC's info is populated on the form.
• Added product validation on the Apply to validate if Department exist and product price is within price range
InStore Charge Changes
• Add a cut-off date in the calculation of finance charge
• Apply payments for InStore Charges made on the Front-end by oldest date

General
General Enhancements
• Include all options available in the Ros.ini and document each so anyone can understand
• Insert a date for the Store Close during the install process
• Add menu item for the XML import
• Archive process warn or roll back the archive when drive space is full and send an email warning (ask IT Retail for details)
• Support Gift Cards through MPS
• Support Debit Design
• Support 6550 pin-pad
• Support both 800 by 600 and 1024 by 768 resolutions for Normal Screen and Split Screen and Customer Display. Touch Screen will support only 1024 by 768.

Wireless
Overall
• Revised to work on Falcon 4420 (Retail 2005sp1)
• Revised functionality for existing Symbol units
• Ability to read UPC link
• Ability to read Age Verify

Migration
Overall
• Ability to migration from 2005 sp1 to 2006 server and checkstands all together or separate
• Ability to migrate the checkstands by just double clicking an exe
• Clarity of Single PC mode migration (dealers only)

Host Maintenance
Ability to support file imports through XML conversion
• Tool to convert file from other application to XML
• Tool to import XML data to Retail (example price changes, batches)
